"If you've never attended a NAWBO national event, check out this group photo to see why you'll never want to miss another one! Four of us from NAWBO NM -- former chapter presidents Lorie Guthrie and Krista Martinez, plus brand-new member Katrina Southall and I (Gwenyth Lewis) -- attended the NAWBO Leadership Conference in Tempe on January 31, 2022. Lorie and Krista generously introduced Katrina and me to many of their dear friends and made sure that we got to be where the action was -- and that we had fun!

As a former Family Therapist rooted in Systems Theory, and whose work for decades has included fostering DEIB, a highlight for me was the workshop led by Joy E. Mason. Ms. Mason taught us how approaching the issues of Diversity, Equity, Inclusion and Belonging (DEIB) in the workplace using a fact-based Systems approach can result in far more effective outcomes.

A big shout-out to Katrina Southall, who was welcomed immediately into the NAWBO Circle, a group of members with businesses that generate $1,000,000 or more annually. She started in the Circle training the day she returned from Tempe!
