The President’s Corner – Robin Dozier Otten
image
As I left for my office this morning, I noticed that spring was definitely in the air. The sun was shining and birds were chirping. What a beautiful place the high desert of New Mexico is!

At our last NAWBO meeting, we were treated to the high energy of Jill Lublin, a master publicity strategist and nationally acclaimed speaker. Thank you to Kay Carrico for meeting Jill at the airport, taking her to lunch at a typical New Mexican restaurant and hosting her overnight in her home.

March’s meeting will feature Laurie Taylor, President of FlashPoint! Laurie is a specialist in business growth and will give us tools to help us to create cash flow and profitablility in our businesses. Whether you run a large business or are a one-woman shop, you won’t want to miss this meeting.

Also at our March meeting our nominations chairman, Mary Rutland, will be announcing the slate of officers and directors nominated to lead our chapter beginning in July. If you have an interest in serving, be sure to let Mary or a member of the nominating committee (Lorraine Ell, Sandie Loewenthal, Sandy Shargel and Kay Ballinger) know right away!

I hope that you are taking advantage of the networking opportunities offered by our monthly satellite meetings in Uptown and Santa Fe as well as Mastermind groups and the various committees available. Once again, I ask you to let members of your board of directors hear your ideas for increasing our organization’s positive impact on you and your business. I look forward to seeing you at our meeting at the Embassy Suites at 5:30pm on March 16th.

March 16 Program – Reduce Risk, Increase Profits: 4 Critical Concepts to Make & Keep More Money

Speaker: Laurie Taylor
You love what you do but you are struggling to generate cash flow and profitability in your business. Starting a business is a walk in the park compared to growing a business. There is a level of intention that you have to focus on in order to take your business to its next level of success – however you define that success.

Join Laurie Taylor, President of FlashPoint! and a business growth specialist as she walks you through critical concepts on how to start getting a handle on:

  • Creating a profit plan – intentionally plan to be profitable and track your revenues and expenses monthly
  • Cash flow – generating, tracking and preserving your most precious resource
  • Creating key indicators – uncover what metrics tell you when you are being successful
  • Designing a daily action plan – find behaviors that actually increase your ability to succeed

You’ll walk away from this session with a whole new way to think about your business!

Laurie Taylor’s Bio:
Laurie Taylor is a business growth specialist. Her extensive experience in all aspects of running a $12 million company is brought into play when working with solopreneurs as well as companies with hundreds of employees. Laurie has a well-stocked arsenal of tools. These tools are capable of igniting a business, propelling it to profitability, productivity and exceptional performance. Visit Laurie’s website.
