New Beginnings
A New Year is infused with this amazing energy of excitement, possibilities and new beginnings. It is a natural time for goal setting and resolutions. Given the powerful group consciousness energy around new beginnings at the beginning of the year, it is a great time to tap into that energy and use it to propel you to creating the reality you desire.
While resolutions tend to fall away before the first month of the New Year has elapsed, well-set goals can be the roadmap for a year filled with adventure and accomplishments. When setting goals, it’s important to be specific and to write them down. I know that when I have been very detailed about what I wanted to create and when I look back at the list or picture, I find myself amused with delight at how all the characteristics of that goal have been fulfilled. Whether I was manifesting for a place to live, a job or connection to a person, it’s amazing how when I wrote it down, synchronicities would start to appear. I remember the time I manifested for an apartment that had windows in both the bathroom and the kitchen among other characteristics, no small request for a city apartment, and I found it. Or the time I manifested for a particular view from a picture, both the view and the picture side by side looked identical. Each time I got clear and specific about the idea of I wanted to create, the reality that subsequently materialized matched.
As I compose this letter, I’m in the process of putting together, refining and prioritizing my manifestation list for the coming year. Unlike that iconic goal soliciting question we often got asked as we were growing up: “What do you want to be when you grow up?” Some of us may have recoiled at the enormity of the question with a great big “Ugh!” and perhaps sworn off goal setting for good. I look forward to composing my manifesting list for the year, it’s like shopping from the most amazing Universal catalog, unlike any received in a mailbox. The only limits are the ones you choose to put on your imagination. Just as any great skyscraper started first as an idea in a person’s imagination, your future manifestation starts with an idea you put on paper. A goal is as simple as that. Simple and yet powerful. Like the seed that starts the cascade of events that eventually grows to a magnificent redwood tree. What ideas do you want to plant and grow this year?
I love the analogy of the GPS. Goals are like a destination you input into your GPS. How will you know where you are going and when you’ve gotten there if you haven’t first determined your goal or destination? Written goals are a concrete declaration to the Universe of what you want and simply the act of writing your goals can be incredible powerful. There is something very tangible about the act of writing down your goals. Seeing you goals written down, it is much easier to make choices about the possibilities and opportunities that present themselves, since they are either helping you to get closer to reaching your goal or not.
So in the spirit of new beginnings, in addition to our monthly satellite meeting in Santa Fe, we are for the first time having our dinner meeting up in Santa Fe this month, coinciding with Business Days. We have a plethora of exciting events both leading up to the dinner and after the dinner that will present you with loads of possibilities and opportunities to get your New Year off to an energetic and fun start.
Wishing you all a Joyful New Year infused with magical moments, memories and many financial possibilities and opportunities!
With love, gratitude and prosperity blessings,

Program – January 25 in Santa Fe Dinner Meeting and Business Days
Not our usual date, not our usual meeting.
This month, NAWBO will hold our dinner meeting on Monday, January 25, at the Eldorado Hotel in Santa Fe to coincide with “Business Day in Santa Fe” with ACI.
The Ten Commandments of Green Marketing for Every Business Owner
The green world is growing in leaps and bounds – despite our current economic climate. Even a recent Ad Age Magazine headline announced “Green Marketing Revolution Defies Economic Downturn.” No matter what business you are in, you can participate in this growing market opportunity. But before you dive in, you need to understand how to communicate to this unique psychographic in a meaningful way.
Join Carolyn Parrs, owner of Mind Over Markets, a dedicated green communications and business development company in Santa Fe and featured author in Inside the Minds: Greening Your Business (Thomson Reuters). Her “Ten Commandments of Green Marketing for Every Business Owner” is an essential guide to understanding and communicating with this fast growing and informed consumer.
Besides this fascinating dinner speaker, we’ve arranged an entire afternoon of learning and fun as lead-in to Carolyn’s program. The next morning is ACI’s Business Day in Santa Fe with presentations by the Governor and legislative leadership, followed by your opportunity to visit with legislators at the Roundhouse.
Below is the itinerary for these two days.
