The Secrets of My Success
What do NAWBO-Northern New Mexico members Beth Chase of Edward Jones Investments, Lezlie Ann Kinney of Bright Ideas Promotional Products Galore!, and Dr. Janice Moranz have in common? They all have a successful business!
Find out how these women succeeded and continue to prosper. Their stories are real and will lift you and help you in your business. Whether you are a sole proprietor or have a staff — this is a program not to be missed!
Why are they in their chosen business? What challenges did they face in starting and growing their businesses? What are their challenges now and how will they face them?
Beth Chase, AAMS has been a Financial Advisor with Edward Jones since 2001. She works with her clients to understand their personal goals — from college savings to retirement — and create long-term strategies for their investments which emphasize a well-balanced portfolio and a buy-and-hold strategy.
Building on her BS from Indiana University in Marketing/Merchandising, Chase was the owner of My Kids Art and a fine jewelry buyer for Dayton Hudson and Zales. She has been married to a wonderful, supportive huband for 34 years, and has two beautiful daughters, ages 18 and 16.
Janice F. Moranz, MD is a Dermatologist in private, solo practice here in Albuquerque. She is also a Gold Director in USANA, a health-based network marketing company based in Salt Lake City, Utah.
Dr. Moranz has been a member of several professional associations and involved with many networking groups to grow her business. In the community, Janice has served as president of the Jewish Federation of New Mexico and as a board member for many years. Presently she serves on the Endowment Board for the Jewish Federation of New Mexico. Moranz shared the NAWBO-NNM 2006-2007 Woman Business Owner of the Year award.
“Impact marketing” is the focus of Lezlie Ann Kinney’s business, BRIGHT IDEAS Promotional Products Galore!. She helps clients select terrific promotional products (custom imprinted items such as pens, mugs, tee shirts and awards), and has the bright ideas to make them really work for them.
Lezlie Ann started Bright Ideas in 1989, and has shepherded the company’s growth from the kitchen table in her home, to three busy locations. She was the first to start a retail store-type site in Albuquerque, and was one of the first in the country to do so. The company earned the National Showroom of the Year award three years ago for the creativity of the store design. Bright Ideas also operates an imprinting facility, which was just outfitted with the latest banner and sign making equipment this week.
