President’s December Letter

image Happy Holidays!
Wow, November was packed with NAWBO activity! Our “NAWBO Means Business” and “Go Global with NAWBO” events were outstanding. Both offered solid business content and networking. The feedback was positive and an affirmation that many businesses need and want this kind of information. We hope to make these events part of our annual NAWBO Signature Events as we move into the new year. My thanks to Barbara Kline, Kay Carrico, our Board, and our Committee members for their time and energy in delivering these exceptional events.

We also partnered with New Mexico Workforce Solutions as a sponsor for their first “Employer Summit” which was a very informative and productive session. We recently testified before the legislative “Economic Rural Development Interim Committee” on home-based businesses. Our well-received presentation included our ideas on solutions, tools, and information that would benefit small business.

Now it’s time to relax a little and enjoy the upcoming holidays. Please join us on December 21st for a special evening featuring a silent auction benefiting the Foundation for Entrepreneur Excellence (FEE) and fashions by Articles. Additional details, along with the registration link, can be in the first column of this web site.

As we bring 2011 to a close, I hope that you and your business have found the means to sustain momentum through this challenging economic period. My thoughts and prayers go out to our military and their families this season. Have a safe and blessed Christmas and a Happy Hanukah!

Kind regards,

Debbie Maestas-Traynor
NAWBO NNM President
