President’s August Newsletter

image We had a great turnout for our July 20th lunch meeting.  Thank you members, guests, Secretary Barela and committee chairs for making this a successful and engaging event.
Secretary Barela’s message was delivered with genuine concern and interest in helping small business.  The department bases their approach to economic development by focusing on maintaining a financially sound government, stream-lining regulatory reform and good tax policy.  Secretary Barela encouraged business owners to utilize the services within the “Office of Business Advocacy”, should we encounter problems regarding licensing or regulation.

Regarding our chapter…..lots of fun and innovative ideas are brewing in our committees.  Our committee chairs are diligently working on progressive and new ideas which will result in a “new” face for our NAWBO chapter; we do need your help!  We would like to “tap” into our member talent pool and get you involved in a committee.  Please consider joining one or two of our standing committees.  I guarantee it will be a rewarding and growing experience for you and your business.  Committees and chairwomen are listed on our website.

Again, I appreciate your time and energy to help make our NAWBO chapter a vibrant organization.  One that helps our members do business better and gives them the tools and information to “Stay in business and Grow your business”.  Please join us for our dinner meeting on August 17 featuring Barbara Mencer, discussing innovative marketing ideas for your business.

Blessings for a prosperous month and more rain!
