Our New Web Site
Brought to you by the NAWBO NNM Member Communications Committee:
The new chapter web site has been launched on June 1st. Read all about it and please tell us what you think!
A Message from Bare Feet Studios
Greetings to our fellow members and all of our site visitors. We are thrilled to debut the new Chapter web site. There are many new features, in addition to the new look and feel. Here are a few items that excite us:
- The site offers a new and improved navigation, making it easy for you to get around and find exactly what you want.
- The site is built with a database, so together we will be building an archive of our Chapter’s events and accomplishments.
- What good is an archive, without a built-in search engine? You’ll find that in the top right of every page.
- The new layout and software allows for increased attention and prominence for our members and partners. The internet is all about networking, so we will be providing lots of links to make it easy to stay connected and help others find out about your business.
- You can now pay online for events! No more standing in line, waiting to “be processed.”
- The site is completely controlled from an admin area that is accessible right from a web browser. Our members will be doing the fast and easy site edits themselves, anytime, anywhere – no software required! If you want to be on the web site committee, please contact the Communications Chair.
Where is the Members-Only Area?
Good question! That is still under construction and will be ready for launch by June 30. It will feature several interactive areas, including the ability to manage your own account and business information, a discussion forum, and easy tools for emailing member to member, right from the web site. If you would like to volunteer to help us get the forums established or learn to be a site editor, please email Amy Zampella,.
It Takes a Village…
…to launch a polished web site! We are counting on your help to spot any typos or errors that you may discover. Please email the webmaster if you have any suggestions for improvement. Please tell us the exact page, and the specific paragraph that needs fixin’. We like positive feedback too! You can also email the Board with your comments.
