Presenter is Stacy Sacco, Rio Rancho Regional Manager, WESST Enterprise Center
Stacy is the Rio Rancho Regional Manager for WESST (the Women’s Economic Self-Sufficiency Team). Stacy consults small business start-ups and existing small business owners helping them develop marketing plans and obtain low interest loans. Stacy serves the Rio Rancho and Sandoval County area, and his office is located in the Rio Rancho Regional Chamber of Commerce office. Stacy also teaches sales and marketing courses at UNM and Webster University, and is an active community volunteer. Stacy earned an MBA from Pepperdine University and a BS Degree in Marketing from the University of Arizona.
Founded in 1988, WESST is a statewide small business development and training organization that provides start-ups and growing small businesses consulting services, educational programs and access to capital. WESST’s key funding source is the SBA’s Office of Women’s Business Ownership, and their client profile includes 66% low-income, 61% female and 49% minority owned businesses. WESST hosts six regional offices statewide and the state’s largest business incubator located in downtown Albuquerque. Since its inception, WESST has helped start over 2,350 small businesses and made loans totaling over $5 million and as result, helped create some 3,487 jobs statewide.
