May 2012 Presidents News Letter
Ladies and Gentlemen,
I am thrilled to announce that two of our NAWBO members are recipients of the 2012 U.S. Small Business Administration Awards: Mary Rutland, Owner, Human Resources by Mary Rutland, LLC for the New Mexico Women in Business Champion of the Year Award and Donna Luke, Owner, djLuke Enterprises for the 2012 New Mexico and Region VI Home-Based Business Champion of the Year Award. Congratulations, Ladies! The New Mexico Small Business Week Awards Celebration will be held at the Marriot Pyramid Hotel on Wednesday, June 13, 2012, from 11:00am to 1:45pm. Please join us in honoring Mary and Donna.
Our 9th Annual “Speak Out!” dinner meeting was outstanding! Thank you to our legislators, members, guests and sponsors. There was great dialogue between our members and legislators regarding tax policy, employee misclassification, and healthcare. A special thank you to Joan Schlueter, Public Policy Director and Robin Dozier Otten, “Speak Out!” Chairwomen for a great job on planning and execution!
Please join us for our May 16th reception honoring our NAWBO Corporate Partners, Platinum Members, and our 2012 Kudos Awardees. The generous support of the Corporate Partners and Platinum Members allows NAWBO NNM to offer outreach programs, monthly meetings, and signature events. Please support and patronize these businesses.
