Making Connections, Making a Difference

imageLynn Trojahn, Vice President of Advancement at ACCION New Mexico, will discuss how having an entrepreneurial and philanthropic spirit makes a difference in the broader community. Since her tenure began at ACCION in March 2005, over $5.1 million has been generated for endowment and operating programs and over $4.75 million in microlending capital.

Trojahn supports nonprofit development work by providing trainings and workshops through the Center for Nonprofit Excellence, United Way of Central New Mexico and the New Mexico Association of Fundraising Professionals. She provides pro bono training for nonprofit boards like the Samaritan Counseling Center and Menaul School in fundraising and capital campaign development.

She is past-president of the New Mexico Association of Fundraising Professionals and was awarded the Outstanding Fundraising Professional for New Mexico from this group in 2003. In 1997, she received the prestigious University of New Mexico (UNM) Gerald May Staff Recognition award during her tenure as Director of Development for the UNM General Library system raising over $6 million. Lynn and her husband are board members for the Future Fund through the Albuquerque Community Foundation.
