Dr. Lee A Reynis, Director of both the Institute for Applied Research Services and the Bureau of Business and Economic Research (BBER) at the University of New Mexico, will be speaking about preliminary economic results for 2013 and economic prognostication for 2014. She will focus on the New Mexico economy, with specific attention to the economic impact and results of woman owned businesses.
Dr. Reynis has been a close observer of the New Mexico economy for almost 30 years and is actively involved in the production of BBER’s quarterly economic forecasts using the FOR-UNM model. She maintains an active schedule of speaking engagements on the economy.
Dr. Reynis is very involved in the research efforts of BBER and has served as the principal investigator on a number of projects. She is currently working with other BBER staff and students to provide socio-economic assessments for New Mexico National Forests as well as for New Mexico’s Mainstreet program. At the request of State finance agencies she and other BBER staff have been examining the potential impacts of recent changes in NM’s corporate income tax.
