Ethics in the Workplace:  It’s not about ‘‘just a few bad apples!’’

Duffy SwanDuffy Swan reveals how business ethics apply to every company size — and you will leave knowing your “next steps”.

In the wake of the Enron, WorldCom and Arthur Anderson scandals, we are more aware that all companies must exercise a heightened degree of oversight of their business practices. But where do you start and what do you do to insure that you have an effective compliance program?

If you’re concerned about principled business practices, moral behavior and greater social responsibility in business then you won’t want to miss our November 16th meeting!

Duffy Swan, President and COO of French Mortuary, Inc., will share from his personal history and experience the core truths he’s learned about ethics in business. Theory is not his deal-reality is. He will make business ethics applicable to every company size, and you will leave knowing your “next steps.”

Duffy graduated from Sandia High in Albuquerque and got his BA in Political Science from UNM. He attended the Executive Program for International Marketing at Harvard and the Executive Program for Consumer Product Marketing at Wharton.

After 32 years with USWEST he retired as VP of USWEST International and COO for Maxis Sdn. Bhd. (a joint venture in Malaysia). He was also VP of Network Operations, VP of USWEST International-Russia and Hungary and VP USWEST-NM Communications.

When he retired from USWEST in 1997, Duffy became a consultant for TVC, Western Assurance, Hosanna Ministries and others. He then became the Director of Development for UNM, then NM VO-Government Relations at VALOR Telecom, and in June 2004 joined French Mortuary.

Don’t miss Duffy’s stirring and realistic approach to creating an ethical business!
