April President’s Letter
Greetings,
Thank you for taking the time to visit the NAWBO Northern NM website! This month NAWBO is thrilled to present its 9th Annual “Speak Out!” event. This is a well attended meeting and one of our unique signature events. I really enjoy this meeting because it allows our members to engage with our state legislators to talk about issues that impact their businesses. The legislators seem to enjoy this one-on-one opportunity as well. Topics for discussion will be “A Friendlier Tax Policy to Help Small Businesses Grow” and “Support for the Public Regulatory Commission Resolutions.” Please see our Public Policy article below for details.
Barbara Kline and I recently had an opportunity to appear on “New Mexico Style” on KASA Fox 2 to talk about NAWBO’s focus on women-owned business. This was a fun experience … a bit tense initially, but once I got into it, I enjoyed it.
Thank you to Carolyn Ward, Director of Economic Development, for orchestrating a wonderful “Partnering for Success” breakfast meeting. We appreciate the time and interest of our Corporate Partners and potential partners.
