2008/2009 Kudos Awards Winners
The Chapter was proud to announce this year’s Kudos Awards, to members that have gone that extra mile as volunteers. Lynne Marcus, Chair of the Awards Committee presented the Kudos Awards at the June Dinner Meeting. Beautiful glass engraved plaques were created by Leslie Ann Kinney of Bright Ideas.
Supporter of the Year - Linda Parker, Retirement Strategies, for being instrumental in forming the Foundation for Entrepreneurial Excellence and representing NAWBO everywhere she goes.
Mentor of the Year – Amy Zampella, Heartline Wellness Center, has served on the communications committee for 8 years and has provided unparalled support during that time. Patricia Chavez, PLC Enterprises, helped us out this year in several ways but especially by renegotiating our contract with the Embassy Suites Hotel.
Special Mentors of the Year – Kay Ballinger, Catalyst Financial Management, Jean Gibson, Resource Interlink, and Joan Schlueter, OnSite Hiring Consultants, for their work in helping the board create the survey of members so we can serve you better.
Advocate of the Year – Sandy Cody, Resources for Excellence, for mentoring Deb Steg over the past year to help her assume the presidency for the coming year.
Up and Coming Business Owner of the Year – Lucy Rosen of The Business Development Group, who brought her fusion of New York/Albuquerque style back home to Albuquerque to offer marketing services and networking advice par excellence.
Public Policy Advocate of the Year – Lucy Archamboult, LEA Environmental Services, who has served on the public policy committee for many years and who has always contributed.
Woman Business Owner of the Year – Edna Lopez, COMPA Industries, who is always there for us whenever and wherever we need help.
Rookie of the Year – Keri Stewart, Results 4 Business, for joining NAWBO and jumping in on several committees.
